Hebrew Academy in the Media

Hebrew Academy’s  initiatives and acts of chessed are frequently covered in both print and digital media outlets throughout the city. Hebrew Academy garnered significant media coverage in 2015-2016, having been featured 30 times in both local and international media between August and June.  The Canadian Jewish News, The Suburban, The Free Press, Yediot Achronot, MikeCohen.ca and Bill613.com were among the print and digital media outlets that covered our initiatives.  Team Hebrew Academy’s participation in the Chai Lifeline Half Marathon, our Juvenile Boys’ GMAA Cross Country Run win, Elementary’s “Be a Mensch” program and High School’s Gesher Chai program were were among the myriad projects that generated publicity. We were also ecstatic to have been featured in an extensive segment about Chanukah for City TV’s Breakfast Television!

In 2014-2015, Hebrew Academy was featured 24 times in articles published by The Gazette, The Canadian Jewish News, The Suburban, The Free Press, Bill613.com, The MADA Review and the Jewish General Hospital’s Auxiliary News. Our Professional Development, Mezuzah Dedication, Principal Dr. Laura Segall’s award, Rachel Fraenkel’s visit, Grade 10 Youth Philanthropy Initiative, Chalutzim Israel program, Oren Grunbaum Basketball Tournament, Chidon Hatanach successes and a number of fundraising efforts were among some of the activities that garnered publicity.
